The Regents Review Summer 2025

DEPARTMENTAL NEWS

Rounders Over the last half term, our fantastic group of Year 9 and 10 girls competed in a number of fixtures, which consisted of some great wins and some great resilience displayed when faced against tough opposition. This half term, we have our Year 7 and 8 girls, who have made a really strong start to their league campaign. We could not be prouder of the team, as they upheld the values and ethos of RPCC through respect, leadership and positive sportsmanship. Each player has shown both physical and character development throughout and have created a lovely team environment for all involved. Miss Fitzsimmons and Mr Sinclair are extremely proud of the team’s performances and have thoroughly enjoyed taking the girls to fixtures. Well done to all students involved! Tanners Brook Sports Day Tanners Brook’s annual Sports Day was a resounding success, and we couldn’t be more proud of the incredible effort put in by our sports leaders. Their energy, organisation and enthusiasm were key to making the event one to remember for everyone involved. From setting up stations to guiding younger students and encouraging fair play, the leaders truly shone. Their leadership, teamwork and positive attitudes set the tone for the whole day. The day was filled with excitement, cheers, and plenty of smiles - showcasing not only the athletic talents of Tanners Brook children, but also the spirit of community and teamwork that makes our leaders so special.

City Champs We took 35 students to the Southampton Athletics Centre to complete in a range of track and field events. They showed great resilience and determination and achieved amazing results, including lots of top 3 finishes for their event. The students thoroughly enjoyed their day and it was a privilege to take the students out to represent our school. A big shout out to Fareed, Daisha and Alesha, who produced some top draw performances. The boys team finished 6th out of the 14 schools attending and the girls team finished 7th out of the 14 schools. Well done all!
