GoLead Programme This year, Miss Robinson has worked with 9 female students from Year 8, 9 and 10, through the delivery of the Barclays GoLead Programme. This has encouraged the selected students to develop their character skills (leadership, resilience, communication/teamwork, problem solving and feedback) and have an influence on the development of girl’s football at Regents Southampton Secondary Schools Swimming Gala On Wednesday 10th May, Regents Park competed in the Southampton Secondary Schools Swimming Gala at The Quays. The students were all extremely supportive of each other, showed respect for other schools and represented Regents Park brilliantly. Overall the team’s results were:

Park. Following the ‘develop’ workshops, where students created their ideas for increasing girl’s participation in football, Alana, Daisha and Ellah presented the teams initiative and student voice to the leadership team, in which they loved! Through the success of the programme, our 9 girls have increased girl’s participation in football at lunch time by 2500%, and have created a change in the face of girl’s sport at Regents Park, which we are excited to continue. Congratulations to everyone that competed and contributed to such an amazing result. Year 9 Customs & Traditions

Year 9 are working on customs and traditions across the Spanish-speaking world. Students in 9B1 have been finding out about Mexican folk art and have been creating their own mirrors in the artisan style, which follow the principles of radial symmetry.
