Year 9 – Healthy Eating & Recipe Adaptations Our Hospitality and Catering group in Year 9 have been exploring the government guidelines of ‘The Eatwell Guide’ and ‘The 8 Tips For Healthy Eating’. We looked at adapted recipes to make them more healthy and had some wonderful results. Adding more fruit and vegetables, using healthy alternatives and increasing our fibre intake have all been strategies they tried in their chosen recipes. Try incorporating the ‘8 Tips For Healthy Eating’ into your meals.

Year 10 Choux Pastry Chefs The Rotary Club very kindly donated Regents Park some ingredients and we have really enjoyed using them to make a variety of different recipes this term. Our Year 10 Hospitality & Catering class made some lofty choux pastry and enjoyed learning the science behind the steam lift! Their chocolate glaze worked a treat and they enjoyed getting to grips with this difficult technique.
