The Regents Review Summer 2018

GENERAL NEWS

about our students was beyond incredible, with most students scoring top marks in all areas. This was such a positive confidence boost which enabled students to step into their work experience with enthusiasm, knowing they could do it. In May we had our work experience and again the same feedback was reflected throughout all companies, with such wonderful positive praise for our students. Three students were offered part time jobs within their time at the companies and many students have organised their post 16 options with the companies they worked for. It is fantastic to be given such an array of experiences for our students, one child even went to Gatwick Airport! As July came around, Year 10 were heavily involved in their final sports day at Regents Park. We are so fortunate to be able to hold the event every year within the school site and Year 10 absolutely rose to the occasion. As I look back on my three years with our team, it’s incredible to think that this is our final year together, your child’s final year at Regents Park school. We have plenty in store, Google Classroom will support with homework and revision sessions, period 7 will continue to be offered and we hope you will support us in ensuring your child attends as many revision sessions as possible in order to have a fantastic results day in 2019. We have our brilliant ‘Student Senior Leadership Team’ taking full responsibility across the school. Prom committee is well underway and we are hoping to secure our venue in the near future. The leaving assembly will be happening in June 2019 - I can’t believe we are saying this already. We also have the Thorpe Park trip on the 7th September, which will be a great start to the term! It is looking to be a great year for Year 11, I thank you for your continued support. Remember, myself and Mrs Jarvis are always on the end of the phone if you need us. I wish you a happy, healthy and safe summer holiday, ready for the final year. Miss Bishop Head of Year 10
