Year 11 GCSE Photography
Year 10 GCSE Photography
Students are working hard towards completing their exam project from a selection of seven themes. Students are using work inspired by other photographers to create their own photography pieces and using Photoshop to digitally manipulate and enhance their images. Students are fast approaching their 10-hour exam, where they will produce a final piece for their project.
Students are studying natural forms, in which they have developed their technical skills through using techniques such as macro photography, double exposure and scenography. Year 10 have studied a variety of photographers to inspire their own ideas.
Year 8 Art Year 8 have explored the work of Bridget Riley and used their research to create their own ‘Op Art’, carefully blending coloured pencil to create a 3D effect. They have completed some beautiful homework, using the illusion of line and colour to make their 2D hand drawing look 3D.
Year 7 Art Our Year 7 artists started the term, looking at the work of different pattern artists, applying their style to different insects and animals. They have now started looking at the work of Matisse, in particular how he ‘draws with scissors’ to make his famous collages.
