The Regents Review Winter 2021
GENERAL NEWS
Wellbeing Books Section Mrs Highmore is the library lead on well-being and is continually adding to our well-used collection of books dealing with a range of well-being issues. The section is called ‘When a book may help’ and also includes a poster with details of where students can access help if needed. The recent visit by our wellbeing lead, included a student, Belle in Year 9 showing the visitor the well-being book section in the library, as well as the calm ‘purple chair’ area where students can study using our laptops in a nurturing environment if they are having a challenging day.
After School Clubs in the Library Here are just some of the activities that are run after school in our school library. Monday: Movie magic - watch movies based on books over two weeks and then discuss whether the movie is as successful or as good as the book. All are welcome. Tuesday: The library is host to a maths revision session run by Mr Selfe. Thursday: Quiz time with Mrs Highmore - win a small prize and test your general knowledge. Friday: The library is host to Year 11 science revision with the Regents Park science teachers.
