They have now moved on and have been looking at how to turn their Mexican inspired patterns into monoprints and polystyrene prints. Year 9 have also been working on a new project based on identity. Student have been studying the artist Chuck Close and his use of ‘grid method’. Recently, students have started to study the work of Michael Craig-Martin and have began to create layered colourful composition of items related to their identity.

Year 10 GCSE Art Year 10 have continued to demonstrate the high level of skill and dedication that our GCSE art students must show in every lesson. They have been working hard to complete their Year 10 projects, producing some exceptional artwork, in response to the different artists and techniques they have been studying. We are immensely proud of them and are very excited to see what Year 11 brings from such a talented group. Year 10 3D Design Year 10 are hard at work on their GCSE coursework theme of Blue Planet. Students have been researching architects, craftsman and artists creating beautiful 3D responses to these works.
