Year 7 Food Food students have been learning about the basics of food safety, kitchen safety and using those skills to create healthy and tasty foods they can cook at home. Year 8 Food Students have been developing their food skills by learning about environmental factors of cooking,

Year 10 Hospitality and Catering The Year 10s have been working hard on their mock exams, making their own choices of meals and foods. Students have been exemplary during this mock and Mrs Harvey is very proud of you all.

looking at food waste and eating sensibly. Year 9 Food Year 9 have been looking at food allergies, intolerances and how they affect the body. Students have also been learning about the benefit of eating vegetarian meals and putting this into practice, cooking some wonderful meals.

Year 9 Photography This year, Year 9s take part in a 10-week photography rotation. Students have been looking at portraiture and in particular, several portrait photographers. Students have researched and annotated the photographer’s work and then began to take photographs in the style of the photographer they have looked at to try different editing techniques, such as: glitch, double exposure and colour select. To finish their photography rotation, Year 9s are given a self-study to take their own portraiture images, inspired by the artists and work they have been doing in lesson, to create a final piece using an edit they have enjoyed and learned over the past 10 weeks.
