Phone Free School Students have embraced the use of our mobile phone wallets, to help them de-digitize and have less distractions. We have already seen more focus within lessons and student feedback, that they welcome the chance to come off their devices. The average teenager in the UK, use their phone for 7 hours per day. By using the wallets within school, they are not tempted to check statuses or social media, whilst simply focusing on work within their lessons. Year 6 Transition Visits Head of Year 7, Mr Wilson and support team have recently been visiting our local feeder primary schools to meet with Year 6 students, who will be joining RPCC in September. These visits are part of our efforts to support all students with the transition from primary to secondary school, as this change can be both challenging and daunting. To help make this transition easier, we recommend the following tips: 1. Establish a routine: Start practising the new school routine a few weeks in advance, including waking up early, preparing uniforms, and packing school bags. This helps students adjust more easily. 2. Organise materials: Ensure students have all necessary school supplies, including books, stationery and any required uniforms or PE kits. Being organised reduces stress and helps students feel ready. 3. Discuss expectations: Talk to students about what to expect in secondary school, such as different subjects, multiple teachers, and the structure of the school day. This helps set realistic expectations and reduces anxiety. 4. Encourage independence: Gradually increase responsibilities at home, such as packing their own lunch or managing their homework schedule. This fosters a sense of independence and confidence. 5. Stay positive: Focus on the positive aspects of

moving to a new school, such as making new friends, joining clubs, and learning new subjects. We are very much looking forward to welcoming our Year 7s into the Regents Park community, as they start their next chapter here with us.
