DEPARTMENTAL NEWS Social Sciences Paultons Park Trip 24th June 2021 We took our first trip since the COVID-19 outbreak and it did not disappoint! Travel and Tourism students had the opportunity to visit Paultons Park for the day, to not only experience some thrilling rides but to understand the different visitor attractions we have in the UK. 40 students attended the trip and had a blast! Everybody adhered to the COVID-19 safety rules and the staff commented on how polite our students were throughout the day. The students enjoyed some much needed leisure time and there were smiles all round - it was a ‘hoot’!

Pen Pals This year, 7G3 have had an exciting pen pal system with ‘The Walk Centre’ in Nakuru, Kenya! They have been finding out all about what life is like for kids their age, which they have found very interesting and informative, asking lots of questions and enjoying reading through their responses. We look forward to continuing this connection as we move into the next academic year!
