available to them after leaving school. After meeting the student ambassadors, the morning began with an introduction from our project leader, Rob Hall. What can you study at University? How is University different from being at school? Where can you live whilst you are studying at University? These are just some of the all- important questions that were answered. The students then had a tour of the University and took part in a team challenge designed to make the students more aware of the courses that Southampton University offers. Year 7 Football Team On the 15th May, the Leadership Team went to watch the Year 7 Football Team in the Cup Final at the Saints training stadium in Marchwood. The pride we all felt as we supported them was incredible. They looked smart in their kit, they were polite and respectful - even when they were being pushed a little too much! They worked so hard, despite the intense heat and they never gave up working as a team. And the best news... We won against Wildern with the final score 1-0 The boys all sang and cheered as they lifted the cup and we could hear ‘Champions’ being sung from the minibus as they all took it in turns to hold the cup. Thank you to Mr Branford and Mr Gates for arranging to take them and support them. A big well done to the Year 7 Football Team. The Year 7 cup winners were then invited to a celebration tea with the Headteacher on 22nd May.
