Last year we raised more than £440 for Marie Curie. On Monday 9th July 2018 RPCC held our very first Race for Life. We committed to a target of £500. Over 300 students completed 1 mile around the school site raising money for Cancer Research. They were absolutely incredible and have raised an incredible £1525! Thank you to everyone involved and to all those that have sponsored students.

Girls rugby comes to Regents Park Community College A number of girls have asked if girls can get involved in rugby next season. Due to the overwelming enquiries there will be a girls rugby team promoted in school from September. The team will be competing against other schools in Hampshire. Any girls who would like to take this further and join a rugby club please go and see Mr Sinclair. Trojans Rugby Club, based on Stoneham Lane has the largest girls section in Hampshire, and it would be wonderful to see participation in girls rugby rise further.

Under 13 Girls Rounders The under 13 girls rounders team is a mix of Year 7 and Year 8 students who were selected from the Rounders Enrichment day. The team have been training hard on Thursdays and playing league matches on Tuesdays. The team won 5 games in the league and lost 2. Which put them third in the overall standings.

team who could have very high chances of winning the league next year! Under 15 Girls Rounders Joining the U15 girl’s rounders team was one of the best experiences I have had at an extra-curricular activity. It gave me a chance to get to know other people in other year groups and also gave me the chance to be a role model to the younger year groups in the U13s team. I thoroughly enjoyed playing for the rounders team as it also gave me the opportunity to gain team work skills as well as meeting and competing against students from other schools. Competing increased my skills, knowledge and understanding of rounders, which I developed each week over the summer term. Hannah McArthur
