The Regents Review Spring 2022

GENERAL NEWS

Overall top 10 since September: Izzy, Jessica, Ava, Eleftheria, Resham, Luca, Lola, Mae and Ruby. I would like to wish all Year 8 students and parents a lovely Easter holiday. We all very much look forward to welcoming Year 8 back for their final term before moving on to Year 9! Mr Sinclair Head of Year 8

Year 9 We have past the mid-way point for Cohort 2019 this term, it is such a delight to see the year group maturing and really getting into the stride with their studies. At lunch time there is a buzz of discussions about their new options subjects, discussing sociological questions, how they are using their photos taken in photography, what they’ve learnt about a new sport etc.. Staff have been stopping the team in the corridors to praise the attitude and behaviour of Year 9. Year 9s have settled into their GCSE courses really well. They have shown enthusiasm, resilience and passion for the topics. Some excellent written work has supported this. Year 9 have had their first taste of the hall exams, which went very well. As a reward, students were given a non-uniform day on the 29th March.

We have started sending positive weekly letters home, as well as reducing low level behaviour within the year group by 67% this term. As always, myself and the team really appreciate the support you give the school. I’d like to congratulate the students on their achievements this year so far.
