A few quick reminders from myself include the date for our prom – this is being held at the Macdonald Botley Park (Winchester Road, Botley, Southampton, SO32 2UA) on Thursday 30th June 2022. All payments for this should now have been completed but if this is outstanding, we will be in contact very shortly. Lastly, please ensure that your child has responded to all college/ apprenticeship applications, letting the establishments know as to whether they will potentially be attending in September, as we do not want students to miss out on their place. As we edge closer and closer to the summer of 2022, I would like to take this time to congratulate all students of the 2017 cohort and celebrate their successes they have achieved over the past 5 years. It only seems not long ago that they were walking in the door as fresh-faced Year 7s, eager and ready to see what excitement Regents Park would bring them. Following on from another set of GCSE mock exams and with now only a little over a month to go before the GCSE exam season fully gets underway, the students have shown a mature attitude towards their learning and their revision. It has been great to see so many students attending revision sessions after school, as well as the intervention sessions that run in the library every Tuesday (5:00pm-7:00pm). At these sessions students can complete targeted English, maths, science revision with a core subject specialist or their own choice of revision using the wealth of resources in the library. No need to book a space, just turn up! In regards to revision and if you have any queries and concerns about how best to help your child revise for their upcoming GCSEs, please refer to a recent letter sent by Ms Reed (Assistant Headteacher), which contains a link to a Loom video which may be able to answer any questions you may have.
