Year 9 Art In art, the Year 9s are learning about culture, specifically Mexican culture. Looking at the artwork of Frida Kahlo and Jose Posada, students are creating some amazing artist study pages in their sketchbook. Students have been exploring art outside of traditional sense of painting and drawing, by watching the film Coco, which was directed, animated and voiced by Mexican people.

Year 10 Fine Art Our Year 10 fine art students have been investigating the formal elements of art with different techniques and materials. Inspired by the work of Giorgio Morandi and Patrick Caulfield, we have been looking at how art can elevate an everyday object from something ordinary to something extraordinary. We are very excited to see what this talented group of students will produce next term.

Year 10 3D Design Year 10 are in their introduction phase of the GCSE, exploring all the different materials 3D design has to offer including: monoprinting, drawing from observation, clay and textiles. Students have been exploring the nature and man-made world of structures.
