DEPARTMENTAL NEWS Year 7 Resistant Materials

Year 8 Resistant Materials

Year 7 resistant materials students, have been looking at creating bird boxes. From learning about health and safety in the wood workshop, to designing and creating a spectacular bird box to take home.

Year 8 have been doing a great job at designing and creating a pinball machine. From looking at designing on paper to designing on computers, students have loved looking at the mechanics of pin ball games.

Year 9 Resistant Materials Year 9 have been designing and creating a functional clock, in which they have learned the mechanics of the clock mechanism, health and safety in wood workshop, along with painting their clocks in their own design. Year 7 Graphics Students have been looking into the world of typography. Learning about letters, designing their own name tags and eventually designing their own 3D letter inspired by things they enjoy.
