School Communication Policy : Accessibility, accuracy & consistency

When writing letters home, please ensure the following:

Font: Arial, size 12 Unjustified text

Use ‘school’ not ‘college’ as in school procedures etc. Use ‘student’ not ‘pupils’ as in school procedures etc. Consistent use of EITHER 24 hour clock OR am/pm timings Consistent use of contact numbers, including use of spacing / dialling codes etc. No commas in address or sign off ( Dear Parent and Yours Sincerely) Include sender’s name and position in school Use ‘Yours sincerely’ when parent named and ‘Yours faithfully’ for bulk letters Use the current up to date letterhead (can be obtained from the admin team) Layout For bulk letters:

Checks ● All letters must be checked by Kate Heath.
