• Transformations (reflection, rotation, translation & enlargement) • Types of number (recognise square, cube and prime numbers) • Frequency diagrams/pie Charts • Linear graphs (gradient and intercept of straight lines, graphically and using y=mx+c) • Sequences • Area and perimeter (triangle, parallelogram, trapezium, circle and composite shapes) • Symmetry • Properties of shape (regular polygon scalene, isosceles and equilateral triangle, quadrilateral, square, rectangle, kite, rhombus, parallelogram, trapezium, pentagon, hexagon, octagon) • Standard form (interpret and order numbers expressed in standard form. Convert numbers to and from standard form. e.g. 1320 = 1.32 x 103 0.00943 = 9. 43 x10-3) • BIDMAS

• FDP conversions (convert between fractions, decimals and percentages) • Cumulative frequency and box plots • Mean from grouped data • Quadratic graphs (use a table of values to plot quadratic graphs) • Solving equations • Factorise single brackets (take out common factors) • Expand single and double brackets, and simplify expressions • Pythagoras • Area and circumference of circles (use the terms centre, radius, chord, diameter and circumference) • Surds (use surds in exact calculations without a calculator) • Percentages • Rules of indices • Foundation only topic areas Pi Club Year 11 students have had the opportunity to attend mathematics breakfast revision sessions, fondly known as Pi Club during the autumn term and we will be continuing to help them to prepare for their pre-public mathematics exams in March as well as the lead up to their GCSEs in the summer of 2020. Students can come along to room 32 from 8.00am on Thursday mornings to benefit from this extra help but should also be revising independently at regular intervals at home, reviewing an array of topics covered over the past four years with particular attention given to those highlighted in the recent mock examinations as an area of weakness. Each student will be receiving an individual feedback sheet based on their performance in the mock examinations to indicate areas of strength and weakness. Students can then

use resources available on Pixl Maths App and Maths Watch.
