The Regents Review Summer 2026

DEPARTMENTAL NEWS

Spelling Bee Four of our students recently had the exciting opportunity to represent our school at a Spanish spelling bee competition held at the University of Southampton. The competition brought together students from schools across the city, all eager to test their Spanish language skills in a challenging spelling contest. Our team worked incredibly hard and demonstrated excellent knowledge, concentration and determination throughout the event. We are delighted to share that our students achieved an impressive score of 35.5 out of 40, a fantastic result that made us all very proud. The excitement continued in the afternoon when students took part in a creative performance challenge. Each group were required to act out a Spanish poem (Un Hombre Sin Cabeza - Armando José Sequera) in front of the other competitors. Our students embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, showcasing not only their language skills but also their confidence, teamwork and creativity. The day was a wonderful experience for everyone involved, providing an opportunity to celebrate languages, meet students from other schools and gain valuable experience performing in front of an audience. Congratulations to Layla, David, Gabriel and Natanim for representing our school so brilliantly.
