Student Leadership The PE Champions and This Girl Can Ambassadors have been hard at work with fundraising throughout the year. They have been raising money for three charities this year: Alfie’s Wish, Spinal Muscular Atrophy UK and Alzheimer’s UK. Fundraising has included the raffle that took place during Sports Awards and the charity event day, that saw the ambassadors take on the ‘Lands End to John O’ Groats’ challenge. In the space of four lessons, they managed to cover over half the distance and raised hundreds for the chosen charities. It was also a chance for the students to use the new gym equipment including: treadmills, bikes, rowing machines and cross trainers. They have worked hard to fundraise money for three really important charities and can feel proud that the money they have raised will be put to great use. Clubs & Enrichment Our extracurricular clubs continue to be a fantastic opportunity for students to develop new skills, improve their physical and mental wellbeing and build confidence outside of the classroom. It has been wonderful to see so many students attending regularly, staying active and enjoying spending time with their friends. The positive atmosphere, enthusiasm and commitment shown by students across our clubs have been fantastic and we encourage all students to continue making the most of the wide range of opportunities available. Southampton Schools Swimming Gala This term, our students represented RPCC at the City Swimming Gala, where they competed with great determination and enthusiasm. Throughout the event, all students demonstrated fantastic swimming skills, resilience and sportsmanship, making the school proud both in and out of the pool. A special mention goes to Jayden, who achieved some excellent finishes across his events and performed exceptionally well against strong

Rounders Over the last half term, our fantastic Year 9 and 10 girls’ team competed in a number of fixtures, achieving some excellent victories and demonstrating great resilience when faced with tough opposition. Their commitment, determination and teamwork have been outstanding throughout the season. This half term, our Year 7 and 8 girls’ team have made a strong start to their league campaign, showing great enthusiasm, skill and dedication in every fixture. It has been wonderful to see the girls develop in confidence and grow as a team. We could not be prouder of both teams for upholding the values and ethos of RPCC through their respect, leadership and positive sportsmanship. Every player has shown significant physical and character development, while helping to create a supportive and inclusive team environment for all involved. Miss Fitzsimmons and Mr Makepeace are extremely proud of the performances and attitudes displayed by both teams and have thoroughly enjoyed supporting the girls at their fixtures. Well done to all students involved!
