Students can collect a sheet from the library and when students
return with the completed sheet in the autumn term, they will be able to pick up prizes. Keep reading and have a great summer! Poetry Workshops Matt West from Artfulscribe joined us to run Poetry workshops with some of our Year 9 students. They worked really hard to create some beautiful poems and some students had the chance to perform these in the Poetry Slam Grand Final at the MAST theatre in July, where they competed against other Hampshire schools. Year 7 had a visit from Matt Oldfield, author of the Ultimate Football Heroes books, as part of the National Year of Reading and World Cup celebrations.
Student Leadership Announcement
Alongside an exciting Sports Day, our Year 10 students who applied to become Student Ambassadors for next year received news of their appointments. Congratulations to our new Head Ambassadors, Andriana and Freya and our Deputy Head Ambassadors, Testimony, Kamalpreet, Johnny and Ash. All candidates showed outstanding commitment and leadership throughout the selection process. We are incredibly proud of our new Student Ambassador team and look forward to the positive impact they will make in the year ahead.
