GENERAL NEWS

School Diversity Week We have had a very successful diversity week for 2023! Building on last year, we have had a curriculum focus so that all subjects include learning from diverse groups and individuals. In science, we have seen breaking the stereotypes of what makes a scientist. In sociology the focus has been the treatment of women and in drama focusing on

communication and language. Every curriculum area has a particular focus that students have responded well to. It is important for our learning community to understand and work together in order to break down barriers and living in an environment that promotes equality and fairness. The assembly focus has been on ‘how to be an ally’ and the importance of collaboration and mutual support and understanding.

At Regents Park, we are proud of the fact we review our curriculum constantly to reflect the changing nature of our community and the wider world. We will continue to celebrate and educate our diverse community.

HOT 50 Fun! Students had lots of fun during our HOT 50 event on Thursday 13th July. Well done to those students who made the final list of this academic year. Remember the four criteria to be in for a chance of taking part in the HOT 50 next time, which is, attendance, attitude, behaviour & achievement.
