GENERAL NEWS Year 11

Year 11 have had a fantastic start to a very challenging term, where they have proven themselves to be incredibly hardworking and dedicated towards their upcoming GCSE’s. This term, we as a school, have provided a wide range of different interventions to help support student’s development for their upcoming exams. This has included subject specific revision seminars, individual mentoring, targeted subject development lessons and tutor resources for Year 11 to utilise. As we push toward the inevitable GCSE exams, I want to continue to encourage Year 11 students to attend these revision sessions and create those everlasting habits to improve their confidence and competence for these exams. We understand that this time can be stressful for our students and also the impact it can have on their mental wellbeing. I want to take this opportunity to remind students and parents of the wealth of support that we have here at Regents Park and that students have access to this support at any time. Careers Year 10 Work Experience Our spring work experience has been a massive success! The amount of students attending a face-to-face placement has increased by 240% and over 87 businesses hosted our students. Teacher checks found some exceptional examples of student success, including students who have been invited back to work! Here are some of the highlights:

Students had a reflection on their placements and will be focusing on post-16 taster days and applications in the summer term.
