DEPARTMENTAL NEWS

Year 10 Enterprise and Marketing Students are in the closing stages of completing their first controlled assessment covering designing a new product (baslow bags). These will be sent off this summer to the exam board. After that, we will be looking at exam skills in preparation for mocks and making a start for their next assessment, which will involve pitching for their new bag. Special mention to Sophie, Robert and Daniel, for completing their coursework to their progress measure standards. Year 10 Business Studies Students have been studying marketing and finance and preparing for their first mock towards the end of the summer term.

Year 9 Enterprise and Marketing Students have been studying the theory of enterprise and marketing and all the elements needed for their exam unit, as well as their first controlled assessment, designing a product, that will start in September.

Year 9 Business Studies Year 9 business studies class, have been studying product portfolio and marketing. They also were preparing for an end of unit test on marketing.

Social Sciences Geography Year 11 students studied West Quay South and the rejuvenation for the city as their Geography fieldwork. Students surveyed members of the public to collect data on the opinions of West Quay South and the impact it has for the city. The students were extremely polite and explained their intentions well to the members of public that they spoke to. The customers of West Quay were more than willing to offer their opinions and improvements for the area! It was a delight to see our students using their community strand of our ethos so well!
