Regents Review Spring Edition 2023

The Regents Review Spring 2023

WELCOME

Headteacher’s Welcome

I think the front to back of this edition of the Regents Review tells the story of Regents Park so well. Staff and students embrace the opportunities that the school community offers from dressing up for world book day to student leadership and amazing dancing, are just part of our vibrant offer. As always our ethos shines throughout the edition: RESPECT : The media trip to GottaBe, the trip to Saints and work experience all resulted in positive messages from external companies on the joy of meeting our respectful and confident students. PRIDE : The wonderful photographs, the food technology dishes, the Dance Live and our Cyber Ambassador winners all make us #GreenandProud CREATIVITY : The staff costumes, the new library books, the debate club, The This Girl Can Ambassadors and the PE champions all highlight just how creative we all are at Regents Park. CHALLENGE : Competitions, sports teams and PiXL offer students a real chance to try something new and develop resilience. To celebrate all the wonderful energy and commitment, we officially had ‘Creme Egg Friday’ on the last day of term, where I delivered over 900 chocolate treats to every single student and member of staff.

As we finish the spring term and get ready to enter the summer term, I would like to acknowledge two members of our community that are leaving for promotions in other schools. Mrs Cooper and Mrs Timmis have both given a huge amount to our Regents Park family and we wish them well in their new roles. Finally schools cannot get the best out of students without the full support of home, so thank you for all that you do to get your child to school. I would like to wish Year 11 the very best for their upcoming exams and I look forward to our ongoing work as a community to have the highest ambition for each other. Mrs Barnes Headteacher
