The Regents Review Spring 2026
Languages DEPARTMENTAL NEWS RPCC in Paris In the early hours of the morning, a very excited group of students gathered, ready to embark on an adventure they had been looking forward to for months - a four‑day trip to Paris. With bags packed and plenty of snacks in hand, the group set off towards the coast to catch the ferry to France. Our home for the visit was a picturesque PGL château set in beautiful grounds. Students settled quickly into their rooms and enjoyed a warm, welcome meal. Evening activities gave everyone a chance to relax, make new friends and get a taste of French culture before heading to bed. The next day was devoted to exploring some of Paris’s most famous landmarks. First on the itinerary was the Arc de Triomphe, standing proudly at the top of the Champs‑Élysées. Students were impressed by its size and the intricate details carved into the stone. From there, we made our way to the Eiffel Tower, perhaps the most anticipated stop of the day. Whether admiring it from below or gazing out across the city from its viewing platforms, the experience was unforgettable. Many photos were taken - some artistic, others less so! Another major highlight of the
trip was a full day at Disneyland Paris. Students - and staff - threw themselves into the magic, hopping between thrilling rides, meeting characters and exploring themed worlds. After a final breakfast at the château, we packed up and began our journey home. Though tired, everyone chatted happily about their favourite moments from the week - whether it was conquering a rollercoaster, trying French food, or simply spending time with friends in a new place. The trip offered students a fantastic blend of culture, adventure and fun. Paris gave us memories we’ll be talking about for years to come!
