DEPARTMENTAL NEWS Year 7 & 8 Girls Football What a fantastic season for our Year 7 and 8 girls football team so far! The girls are currently first place in the league. For some girls this has been their first year playing competitive football and they have done incredibly well both as individuals and as a team. It has been a pleasure seeing the team grow in confidence and resilience when faced with some tough opponents. The students have always upheld the values and ethos of RPCC to which we The Year 8 boys football team have been working really hard to progress and develop as a team this season. Although results have not gone our way, the team have worked incredibly hard and there have been some great moments. We have had fantastic goals scored, incredible saves and a real team effort to work hard for one another. The boys have shown great character and resilience to keep playing all the way to the final whistle. I hope that the qualities that this team has shown on the football pitch will stay with the students, as they have played every game in the right way and represented the school fantastically. PE Kit Reminder Please can we remind you that students should be wearing RPCC PE kit for practical core and BTEC Sport lessons. Hooded jumpers and jewellery are not permitted. Hair should be tied up, if it is longer than shoulder length. These are health and safety requirements. Students are permitted to wear the RPCC PE jumper or a plain blue or black jumper that doesn’t have a hood. If a student is unable to take part in PE, please ensure they have a note and their PE kit (they won’t take part practically but will engage in other roles throughout their lesson). If a student is unable to change, please get in touch with their PE teacher. Please check your child’s timetable and our uniform policy on the website to ensure they are adhering to school rules. Year 10 Boys Football The Year 10 boys football team have had a tough start to the 2026 season. Every game they have played in has been extremely competitive with just one or two goals between the teams! The boys have shown fantastic resilience, determination and commitment. The team have gone from strength to strength with their style of play and have produced some great wins. A massive well done to all the students involved.

Year 9 Boys Football The Year 9 boys faced a challenging match against a very strong Hamble team. The team showed determination and continued to work hard throughout the game. Two well-taken goals rewarded their effort and the boys kept a positive attitude until the final whistle. Man of the match went to Isaac for keeping the score line down with his fantastic saves for the team.
