DEPARTMENTAL NEWS

Year 7 Art Year 7 have been exploring the wonderful world of artist and architect, Hundertwasser. Students have been exploring his wobbly world to create a response using colouring pencil and watercolour inspired by our own architecture here at Regents Park.

Year 11 GCSE Photography

Year 11 students are approaching the end of their GCSE course, with their practical exam fast approaching. Miss Cole, Miss Holloway and the whole department are delighted with the students’ dedication throughout the exam period and the high-quality work they are producing.

KS3 Art Club Students have been learning to create art and sculptures from everyday objects. Students have learned how to make pumpkins from plastic bags and in recent weeks, have learned how to take tin foil and make it into a stained-glass window. Miss Durrant is very proud of the students, who show such great commitment to their learning outside of lesson time.

Year 8 Art Students in Year 8 art have been looking at what it means to protest through the art of Bob and Roberta Smith. Students have been creating their own artist research pages and creating responses to the artist’s work including creating their own protest slogans inspired by the school’s ethos.
