DEPARTMENTAL NEWS

Year 7 Resistant Materials Year 7 have been designing and creating a functional clock, in which they have learned the mechanics of the clock mechanism, health and safety in the wood workshop along with painting clocks in their own design.

Year 11 Hospitality and Catering The department are incredibly proud of all students and their hard work has paid off. We have a successful cohort of students in Hospitality and Catering. We are proud of the cohort and the exceptional attitude to learning over the last 2 years.

Year 8 Resistant Materials

Year 8 have been doing a great job, designing and creating a labyrinth. From looking at designing on paper to designing on computers, students have loved looking at the mechanics and design features of a problem-solving game.

Year 9 Resistant Materials

Year 9 have been designing a phone throne. Looking into product designs on how thrones and chairs are made. They have been working with a mixture of materials including MDF, wood and fabric. Year 7 Graphics Students have been looking into the world of typog raphy. Learning about letters, designing their own name tags and eventually designing their own 3D letter inspired by things they enjoy.
