Ski Trip

On Saturday 16th March, Regents Park travelled to Risoul in France via Turin airport. The skiing was excellent, there was good snow coverage and the sun shone all week. There were excellent views across the French Alps all week. All students made excellent progress. The French ski teachers commented on how much the students had learnt on the Lordshill dry slope, saving the students 3 days of basic training on the snow. One group managed to ski the 5km Olympic ski run to the village of Vars-Sainte-Marie on day 5. This is the first time the teacher had ever taken a beginners group to this part of the resort and he’s been teaching over 20 years. The evening entertainment included a night out in the local pizzeria, sledging, the luge run and even a folk music concert as well as games in the hotel. All students really enjoyed the visit and experienced being in a mountain environment as well as learning to ski. Regents Park will be running a ski trip in March 2020. Letters will be available with all the details in the summer term. It is an amazing experience to spend a week in the mountains learning to ski!
