Holocaust Memorial Day Holocaust Memorial Day January 25th-26th 2018 “The Power of Words”
Thursday 25th January, 2018 Year 9 students were off timetable to have an enrichment day that centred on the Holocaust. They had three workshops throughout the day that were focused on the persecution, the treatment of Jews in camps and the legacy that the Holocaust left behind. Students engaged well with the day and found the topic interesting and moving. To enhance this experience on Friday we welcomed Mr Bryan Huberman into school. He is the son of Alfred Huberman, a holocaust survivor. He shared his emotional story of his father’s experiences – this was very moving and the students were very respectful towards the visitor.
