Year 8 Restaurant Project As part of their study on the topic of Food, Year 8 students designed their own restaurants in either French or Spanish. They began by studying authentic menus and discovering traditional cuisine. They then had to design their own, creating a detailed menu and writing customer reviews. We wish we could actually visit some of these places!

MFL is off to Paris It’s not long until the languages department travel to Paris! We’re looking forward to sharing our pictures with you in the next Regents Review. Any questions about the trip, please see Mrs Mouland or Mrs Northfield. Year 7 Colours Year 7 Spanish have been learning the Spanish colours this half term! They began by translating their own poem from the target language and then used dictionaries to write their own. LanguageNut The MFL department continue to be impressed with students’ effort on our online learning platform LanguageNut. Below you will see the school leaderboard. Remember LanguageNut is a great resource to keep your languages fresh over the summer break - your usernames and passwords can found on your Google Classroom.

Year 10 Global Issues In November, our Year 10 Spanish students concluded their work on the theme 2 topic - social and global issues. To consolidate their grammar and vocabulary, they were tasked with creating their own charities in Spanish. Mrs Northfield was amazed at the quality (and creativity!) of their group work!

Year 11 Linguists Well done to our Year 11 linguists, who completed their first mock examinations in GCSE French or Spanish this term! Remember to use the general conversation resources on your Google Classroom pages to revise.
