SEASONS – corset - research into seasons (drawings, photos, collage, mind maps, mood boards) - Weaving sample - freehand machine embroidery samples/experiments

Development of one of year 9 projects - Artist research - Replica of artists work - Photos - Drawings - Batik - applique - printing techniques (stencil, pressa print, layering textures, marbling.

Course work unit, in the style of an exam developed from the end of year 10. - silk painting - Stenciling, plus adding other techniques learnt previously - Angelina/crystalline - Transfer paints

- Practice hand embroidery - Embroider over a drawing - Reverse applique - Applique using bonderweb

- Bubble wrap, painted on top - Fabric heat gun (layering up) - Batik - Artist research - Replica of artists work - felt balls - Scrim (with PVA) - bubble wrap and trapping - design ideas - final design in detail - final piece (fashion piece)

- final piece of their choice.

- Combine organza with embroidery - Embroider onto an image/photograph - Research history of corsets - artist studies - Design ideas x 3 - Final idea in detail - decorative corset using above techniques.

Spring

Continue Season project until half term.

Recycling project – Fashion item (maybe fashion show during end of year exhibition?) - decide upon a theme - mood board - collage - Experimental pieces using bubble wrap, teabags, food packaging, old clothes,

GCSE exam paper to be given out and developed independently using the skills and techniques from previous work.

After half term start Artist inspired cushion

- Artist study - Replica of work through drawing
