Regents Park Community College Leave of Absence & Annual Leave Protocol

Aims To ensure a fair and consistent approach is made for annual leave and leave of absences with all staff. Leave is subject to your contract of employment Staff – I will:  Fully complete a Leave of Absence in a timely manner ensuring the school has sufficient time to arrange cover if required (minimum 7 days notice).  Arrange appointments (if possible) for the end of the school day or during the holidays. If appointments need to be during the school day, staff need to attach evidence of the appointment before approval, subject to the needs of the school.  Complete Annual Leave form (52 week support staff) ensuring time off has been agreed by the Headteacher before booking any leave. Leave will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The school – we will:

adopt SCC policies in respect of:  Annual leave entitlement – support employees (52 weeks)  Annual leave entitlement – casual employees  Annual leave – support employees TTO  Maternity/Paternity Leave  Jury Service

 Keeping in Touch days  Shared parental leave  Unpaid parental leave  Time off in term time  Absence Policy  Conditions of service

Other considerations  TTO support staff and teacher requests for time off during the school day will only be considered in exceptional circumstances. This may be approved on
